John Hoppe holds a a degree in Trumpet Performance. He leads two popular musical groups: The Jazz Antagonists and The Foothills Oompah Band. He also puts together other groups for special occasions and plays free-lance.
The Jazz Antagonists
A trio, quartet, or quintet depending upon your venue and needs, The Jazz Antagonists breathe new life into the familiar standards. We also play themes and special occasions such as Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Repeal Day, Dances, Wedding Rehearsal Dinners, Christmas, and New Year's Eve....and, of course, corporate and civic events and private parties.
The Foothills Oompah Band
Founded in 1996, this is our 29th consecutive Oktoberfest Season.
The band’s emphasis is equally on music and fun, so we are billed as a German Festival Band. We love to involve our audiences with sing-a-longs, Chicken Dances, and yodeling assistance.
